Sister Madeleine of Jesus Award

The Sister Madeleine of Jesus Award, the University’s highest alumni honor, was established by the 校友 Association in 1974 to honor Rivier’s Foundress. 校友 are invited to submit nominations for this prestigious award by May 1 of each year. The award is presented at 校友 Reunion Weekend in September. The award is presented to a Rivier alumna or alumnus who has distinguished herself or himself through:

• Exceptional dedication and contribution to Rivier University
• Outstanding service to his or her community and profession
• Significant civic, professional, or humanitarian efforts

校友 Achievement Awards

The following awards are presented to outstanding alumni who have utilized their Rivier education to make a difference in their profession and have maintained a continued connection with their alma mater. 请 submit nominations for the 2024 awards before February 15, 2024. Recipients will be recognized in the Spring issue of 今天我们意识到, the University’s magazine, in June.

Outstanding Educator Award

This award recognizes a Rivier graduate working in the field of education who has demonstrated a commitment to teaching excellence and distinguished himself/herself by fostering an exceptional educational environment as a classroom teacher, 辅导员, 管理员, or education advocate.

Outstanding Nurse/健康care Professional Award

This award recognizes a Rivier graduate working as a nurse or as a healthcare professional. This individual demonstrates a commitment to excellence and service to patients, as well as professional achievement in the healthcare profession.

Outstanding Business Professional/社区 Leader Award

This award recognizes a Rivier graduate who has distinguished himself/herself as a business or community leader. The individual demonstrates a commitment to ethics in the workplace and a commitment to excellence demonstrated by achievement within his/her profession or industry.

Outstanding Young 校友 Award

This award recognizes a Rivier graduate who graduated within the last ten years and has distinguished himself/herself as a young professional within their profession or community. This award recognizes the individual’s personal and professional achievements since their Rivier graduation.
